Not all water damage is the same

The restoration industry sorts water losses into three categories. The category decides how it gets cleaned and what has to be replaced.

Category 1 · Clean

Supply lines, faucets, rain. Often dried and saved if handled quickly.

Category 2 · Gray

Washer, dishwasher or toilet overflow without waste. Needs cleaning and treatment.

Category 3 · Black

Sewage, river or groundwater flooding. Porous materials usually come out.

Time matters. Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours of a leak, and clean water can turn gray if it sits. Call as soon as you find it.

Michael started in carpet cleaning and restoration in 2008, working jobs across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Nearly two decades of hands-on work led him to found MNJ Restoration in 2026.

He holds multiple industry certifications and holds every job to the same standard. What sets him apart is how he treats people. He builds lasting relationships with his clients, and his goal goes beyond clean carpets: a reliable, trustworthy experience customers can count on.

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free. We come out, look at the damage and tell you what it'll take before any work starts.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes. Water and fire damage get worse by the hour, so we answer nights, weekends and holidays.

Is Michael really from The Griffin Brothers?

Yes. Michael Griffin Jr., our founder and CEO, is one half of the roller skating duo. He has also been cleaning carpets and restoring homes since 2008.

Do you work on businesses or just homes?

Both. We do residential and commercial jobs, from a single bathroom to offices, restaurants and rental properties.

How fast should I call after a leak?

Right away. Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours, and drywall and flooring soak up more water the longer it sits.

What is hydro jetting?

A high-pressure water hose that cleans the inside of drain and sewer pipes. It clears grease, roots and buildup that a regular snake leaves behind, so clogs are less likely to come back.

Can you paint after the repairs are done?

Yes. We patch, prime and paint, so you don't need to hire a separate painter to finish the room.

My sprinklers are leaking or won't turn on. Can you fix that?

Yes. We repair broken heads, cracked lines, valves and controllers, and track down hidden leaks.

Do you pressure wash apartment complexes and businesses?
